Now this is pretty cool.

Have you ever wanted to find a book that takes place somewhere familiar?  I know I needed to for my 2015 reading challenge.  I’ll need a book set in my home state for this year’s challenge, too.  Placing Literature to the rescue.

I never knew that so many famous books are set in Princeton!  Franny and Zooey has a scene at the Princeton Station (it’s not called the Princeton Train Platform, but whatever).  Hell Hath No Fury has a scene at the Thomas Sweet Ice Cream Parlour.

I also found out that there’s a post-apocalyptic zombie novel set at a park in Wisconsin that I frequented in my teenage years.

Even if it doesn’t help you with your reading challenge, it’s a lot of fun to find famous (and no-so-famous) novels set in your backyard.
