Top Ten Tuesday: Ten songs that I really love at the moment (Part 2!)

It’s time for part two of my current top ten songs, because apparently each Tumblr post can only have five embedded videos and I did not think this through!

6. GOOD GRIEF // BASTILLE

7. COLORS // HALSEY

8. DROWN // TYLER JOSEPH

9. BULLET // STEEL TRAIN

10. SOMEBODY ELSE // THE 1975 (skip to 3:00)

Part one was posted earlier today!  Which songs are your favorites right now?

Top Ten Tuesday: Ten songs that I really love at the moment (Part 1)

Happy Top Ten Tuesday!  Today is a freebie, and I thought that I’d go along with my post over the weekend and do a music theme!  So, today I’m talking about ten songs that I really love at the moment.

I’m basically an old woman now, but back in my day, I was really into concerts. (I’m actually only in my twenties, but I feel old, okay?)  Big name bands, local bands, kids from my high school playing in some guy’s field, it didn’t matter.  I was there.  This may be surprising to learn, but there’s a pretty good music scene in Wisconsin.  Much better than in New Jersey, for sure.  I think the best way to find new music is just to get out and go to shows, but that doesn’t happen nearly as often as I’d like anymore since the closest anybody comes is usually New York.

But I’m slowly getting back into going to concerts, and also getting better about checking music blogs and getting music recommendations through Instagram and Tumblr.  (This was infinitely easier in the good ol’ days of LiveJournal, when you’d just join a music community and send songs, playlists, or whole albums to each other.)  (Now I sound really old!)

Anyway, without further ado, here are five songs that I absolutely adore right now.  The second part (since Tumblr only allows five video embeds per post, apparently) will be up later today!

1. HØLDING ØN TØ YØU // TWENTY ØNE PILØTS

2. TAKE IT ALL BACK // JUDAH & THE LION

3. WASHED UP TOGETHER // KNOX HAMILTON

4. EMOTICONS // THE WOMBATS

5. FIRE ESCAPE // ANDREW MCMAHON IN THE WILDERNESS
