Book review: Close to Me by Tamara Lush

Goodreads ⭐ Author’s Mailing List ⭐

Vivian is a carefree yoga instructor.  Zack is the building’s new masseuse.  On the night of Vivian and Zack’s first date, Vivian’s life is shattered as she experiences a violent carjacking.  Still emotionally and physically recovering from the trauma, Vivian returns to work to a lovely note from Zack offering her unlimited massages.  Though Vivian worries that she may respond negatively to the touch, she finds that Zack makes her feel safe and protected.  One thing leads to another in this steamy, fast-paced novella.

The book is only 26 pages long, but it was really good!  It wasn’t long enough to form a connection to either character or to really get a feel for their relationship, but it was just long enough to be super hot and serve its purpose.  This was my first from Tamara Lush, but I will absolutely keep an eye out for more of her work.

I received a free copy of Close to Me when I subscribed to the author’s mailing list. I don’t believe that this novella is available through any standard retailer.

Final rating: ★★★★☆
