Book tags: This or That & 3 Days, 3 Quotes

Rules:

1. Mention the person on whose blog you saw this tag. (Thanks, Reading Escapades!)
2. Tag up to 10 people.
3. Post the rules.

Hardcover or Paperback?

I think I talked about this in a different tag! Most of the books that I own are ebooks, but of my physical books, most are hardcover.

Reading while sitting or lying down?

I’m usually lying down in bed but sometimes I’m curled up on my couch.

Snacks or drinks during reading?

No! Never! I’m too paranoid about spilling something.

Fantasy or contemporary?

In general, contemporary. But sometimes I get in the mood for fantasy.

Bookstagram/book Twitter or book blogger?

Definitely book blogger. I’m really bad at social media (but one of my goals for 2018 is to get better at it).

Standalone or series?

It depends! If it’s a really cool world (particularly fantasy or sci-fi) then please give me a series! But sometimes one book is enough and any more just feels unnecessary. If I absolutely had to choose, I would rather have a standalone and be left wanting more than have a series that continued on too long.

Plot or characters more significant to you in a novel?

Ideally, both would be great. But if I had to choose, probably plot. I can forgive bland characters if there’s a lot happening.

First POV or third POV?

As long as it’s well-written, it doesn’t really matter to me.

Audiobooks or ebooks?

I like both. I usually do audiobooks for nonfiction and ebooks for fiction. It took me a long time to get into audiobooks, but they’re a great way to learn while you’re doing stuff.

I tag:

  • Honestly, anybody that feels like doing it!

I was tagged by Shaz @ Shaz Reads to do the 3 Days 3 Quotes Challenge. I love tags, so thanks a bunch for tagging me!

The Rules
1. Thank the person who nominated you
2. Post a quote for 3 consecutive days (1 quote for each day)
3. Nominate three new bloggers each day

The first quote is one of my old standbys from Rainbow Rowell’s Fangirl. I think this was the first Kindle highlight I ever made!

“In new situations, all the trickiest rules are the ones nobody bothers to explain to you. (And the ones you can’t Google.)”

(Isn’t that the truth?)

I tag:

I never know who to tag, so…

  • If you’d rather not be tagged, let me know! (I don’t want to annoy you!)
  • If you like doing tags, drop me a comment and I’ll remember to tag you next time!
