Being bad never felt so good…

Everything in my office is off-limits. Making a charity calendar of the hot guys on your floor? Not allowed. Shrinking your boss’ underwear when he sends it for dry-cleaning? Can’t do that either. But those things keep the natural balance. See, Avery Banks, our resident rising star, is a shark. The tall, blond, and gorgeous kind with zero patience and even less forgiveness. Good thing I’m the Mae West of executive assistants. I live to put grown men in their place.

He wasn’t supposed to find out. Now he’s made it his personal mission to screw me the way I screwed him. OK. Not exactly the way I screwed him.. Avery’s new game is hot. Messy. Twisted. But he’s my boss. And what we’re doing is strictly NSFW. Luckily, Avery and I have one thing in common. We both suck at following the rules.

I was so excited to read this book when Amazon recommended it to me. I love workplace romances and I think we all know that enemies-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes. I struggled to get into it at the beginning, but I think that was mostly due to the fact that I had a late afternoon coffee and was feeling jittery and very little to do with the book itself. By the time I reached page 50 or so, I was really absorbed by the plot and Charlie’s shenanigans.

Charlie was such a spunky, likeable heroine. I don’t know that anybody in real life would get away with everything she did, but it was sure fun to read about! Avery was also great. I can’t really say too much about that without giving away a big chunk of the plot, but I don’t think I’d mind working for someone like him. He’s an alpha male, but not the kind that drives me crazy. He’s just the right amount of alpha, I think.

All in all, I ended up really liking this book! It did get a little bogged down by repetitive sex scenes in the middle and end, but other than that it was really great! Definitely give this one a try if you’re looking for a quick, steamy read.
