Happy Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s theme is ten favorite novellas and short stories.ย I don’t read a ton of novellas and short stories, so I had to go a few years back to get a list of ten! All of these books are under 200 pages and I rated all of them at least three stars.
- Dear Ijeawele, or A Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates
- We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- Carswell’s Guide to Being Lucky by Marissa Meyer
- The Queen’s Army by Marissa Meyer
- Opal by Maggie Stiefvater
- Sixteen Kisses by Kelly Oram
- Personal Escort by Ainsley Booth
- Dirty Sweet by Roxie Noir
- Sincerely, Arizona by Whitney G.
What are the best novellas or short stories that you’ve read?
I loved Opal so much!

Great list! I’m really looking forward to reading Opal – I miss the world of the Raven Boys so much. I have We Should All Be Feminists on my TBR so I’m glad to see you enjoyed it!

Opal was such a great way to go back to the world of the Raven Boys for a little while. And We Should All Be Feminists was amazing and I would highly recommend it!

Good list! I don’t read a lot of short stories either so I don’t think I could have done this one ๐ And when I do read shorts they are generally part of an anthology. That being said, I have one exception – I really like Kelly Link. She writes short stories almost exclusively and they are always beautiful and strange ๐

I really like participating in TTT but I don’t think I have enough novellas and short stories to write a post. In the future I’d like to check some out so I’ll definitely keep the ones you included in mind! ๐

Great job! I did not participate this week because I hardly ever read short stories/novellas! I couldn’t muster the brain power. haha. You’ve got a great selection here! ๐
