This Three Bookish Things tag looks like so much fun and I was so happy to see that I’d been tagged by Siobhan! If you haven’t checked out her blog, go now! What are you waiting for?!
Three Read Once and Loved Authors
- Alex Evansley
- Mary H.K. Choi
- Sally Thorne
Three Titles I’ve Watched But Haven’t Read
I don’t watch a lot of movies and I read a looooooot of books, so this was kind of hard! I had to go way back in my memory to think of three titles!
- Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh
- The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick
- The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Three Characters You Love
- MICHAEL PHAN. I’ll be screaming about him until the day I die, probably.
- HOLLAND VOSIJK, who deserved better.
- RONAN LYNCH and all his dream creatures.
Three Series Binged
- The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
- Void by Peter F. Hamilton
- Addicted by Krista & Becca Ritchie
Three Unpopular Bookish Opinions
- I didn’t like Six of Crows. Take away my book blogger card now.
- I think Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments series turned into a total mess.
- One of my least favorite things is when a romance novel ends with a surprise pregnancy.
Three Current Favourite Book Covers
- We Are Okay by Nina LaCour
- Darius the Great is Not Okay by Adib Khorram
- What If It’s Us by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera
Three Goals for the Year
- I want to continue to read more books outside of my comfort zone. Some of my favorite books of the year have been from genres I wouldn’t ordinarily pick up.
- I want to do more unconventional reviews! I have so much fun with them and sometimes they take a little longer, but I think they’re worth it in the end.
- I want to keep getting to know other bloggers by interacting on WordPress, Goodreads, and Twitter. I think right now I’m pretty good on WordPress, I’m decent on Goodreads, and I’m terrible at Twitter but I’m working on it.

Wow this is such a fun tag…!!! And loved your answers… have to checkout some of these books 😊😊😊
I’m a huge fan of Six of Crows 😂😂😂 but I abandoned TMI after Book 4 and hate when authors think a surprise pregnancy is the only possible happy ending.. !!!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Thank you! I hope you like the books! And I know, everybody loves Six of Crows but me!! But I’m glad you agree with me about TMI, book 4 was a disaster. And I’m glad that you agree about the surprise pregnancies! I just feel like it’s the least creative way to end a book.

I know right… as if having a child is the only way the couple can have a happy ending… Twilight definitely ruined a lot of books that came later…

I still need to read trainspotting… saw the movie like ten times 🙈
Have a copy of it, and tried reading the first chapter but it was written with “accent” and i found that kinda distracting…

That can be really distracting! I have to be in the right kind of mood to read a book written like that.

I also dislike surprise pregnancies in romances. haha! I agree about reading out of my comfort zone! Some of my favorite books so far are different genres that I normally don’t read!! I am also horrible with twitter. I just started utilizing it like two weeks ago. It’s so much work at times to manage all these social media accounts! haha

Twitter stresses me out so much so sometimes I just ignore it, but I’m trying to get better about using it. It really does take a lot more time than I thought it would!!
I don’t think I would’ve come close to reading Nevernight before this year, but it’s one of my top books of the year! And surprise pregnancies in romance novels…. I roll my eyes every time. There are so many better places you can go with the plot.

Yeah, I agree. I’m more of a twitter stalker to things I’m watching. I love reading people’s comments to shows and movies. I’m trying to remember to use it for blogging.
Yeah, same. I would have never really picked up Nevernight on my own!

Turns out dedicating a book to Cassandra Clare doesn’t make it a complete mess, though.

It only took 5 hours, but I see your comment now!! I’m hoping that you end up loving this book. I will immediately go out and buy it because I need to read something good.

Trainspotting is good! A bit difficult to get into at first because of the language tho. TMI is a hot mess haha but it’s a guilty pleasure series lol.

Maybe someday I’ll get around to reading Trainspotting! And I read up through #5 of TMI and it really is a hot mess, but I’m glad it’s something you enjoyed! 🙂

Thank you so much for the tag! I love tags. I agree with you on those covers. They are absolutely gorgeous. I am looking forward to reading Darius the Great is not Okay. I also have the same goal of interacting more with other bloggers!

That’s such a fun tag! And I’m with you about The Mortal Instruments books.
And a goal of mine is also to read more books out of my comfort zone. It can be so rewarding to find a great new book unexpectedly.
Oh and I’m terrible at Twitter, too 😅

It really was a fun tag! I’m glad you agree with me about TMI and reading books outside of your comfort zone! It’s been really great to find books I’ve loved that fall outside of my normal genre preferences.
I don’t even know what to say about Twitter, honestly. I’m just so awkward on Twitter 😅

Me too! And I’m not sure how to change that … oh well. Some day we’ll be twitter fluent 😅

What’s your favorite book you’ve read this year that was outside of your comfort zone?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Thanks 🙂 I’m going to add it to my list of tags that I want to do!
My favorite is The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. What’s yours?

That’s on my list! I think Nevernight is probably my favorite, but I also really enjoyed my reread of The Catcher in the Rye. I don’t usually read classics and I rarely reread, but I loved it so much the second time around.

I’ve heard great things about Nevernight! I don’t usually read classics or reread either. I liked Catcher in the Rye but I haven’t read it in about six years. I wonder what I’d think of it now!

“I think Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments series turned into a total mess.” …I didn’t know that was an unpopular opinion, I agree with it wholeheartedly!! I guess I’ve been surrounding myself irl with people who have similar opinions on the matter. I still have a bit of a soft spot for it because I loved it so much when I was like 14 but it really started to fall apart after the third book (plus I enjoyed The Infernal Devices more!!) 🤷I know Cassandra Clare’s written a whole bunch more in that universe but I genuinely have no idea what, I gave up on it long ago

I’m glad you agree with me! She has so many fans! I feel like I don’t run into them in real life, but I see so many people who love her books on Twitter.
