Top Ten Tuesday: Hidden gems

Happy Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s theme is hidden gems, so let me talk for a minute about books I love that I feel don’t get enough attention. My choices are all books I’ve rated either four or five stars that have less than 300 ratings on Goodreads (as of the time I wrote this post).

• Break of Day by Andie J. Christopher only has 62 ratings on Goodreads, but it’s so good! It’s such a swoony romance between a photojournalist and the niece of the woman he’s staying with.
• The Secrets of the Starbucks Lovers by Larissa Zageris and Kitty Curran only has 73 ratings on Goodreads and it’s hilarious. Taylor Swift and Lorde are detectives investigating a series of threatening messages written on coffee cups. I cannot recommend it enough.
• Never Apart by Romily Bernard only has 92 ratings on Goodreads and I loved it! Grace and her boyfriend are hunted over and over again, dying and being resurrected each time. How do they get out of the loop? This one didn’t go where I thought it would and I could hardly put it down.

• To Be Honest by Maggie Ann Martin only has 115 ratings on Goodreads and it was really such a refreshing book! It tackles body image, anxiety, and issues with family dynamics and I just can’t recommend it enough.
• Carry Me Home by Jessica Therrien only has 110 ratings on Goodreads and I don’t even understand how! It’s about a family that falls apart after the parents separate and while it wasn’t necessarily fun to read, it was so good.
• Famous by Jenny Holiday somehow only has 131 ratings on Goodreads, but if you like Taylor Swift and you like romance novels, you’ll probably like this book. Emerson Quinn is a blonde singer with bright red lipstick who’s trying to write her next album. She goes to her old friend Evan’s house for inspiration and to get away from the paparazzi, and, well… Sparks Fly. (Sorry.)

• The Summer Before Forever by Melissa Chambers doesn’t even have 200 ratings on Goodreads, which is such a shame! I love everything that Melissa Chambers writes and this is such a sweet romance between stepsiblings.
• The First Kiss Hypothesis by Christina Mandelski only has 250 ratings on Goodreads, even though it’s really great. It features two of my favorite things in romance: friends-to-lovers and a second chance.
• Head Over Heels by Serena Bell somehow doesn’t even have 250 ratings on Goodreads! This is another really great friends-to-lovers romance that features a whole lot of sexual tension.

• Love Scene, Take Two by Alex Evansley is my final choice because somehow it doesn’t even have 300 ratings on Goodreads! This is one of my favorite books of 2018 and I hope that you’ll read it. ❤
