About the Blogger!

Today I’m mixing things up with a slightly different post! I saw both Cassandra and Clarissa do this About the Blogger post recently and I figured that, since I recently hit 1,000 followers, it was as good a time as any to re-introduce myself. 🙂

This post was originally created by Bethany @ Bibliophile’s Binge.

Name: I am Sara with no H.

Age: 28

Education: I have a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics and Spanish. I’m also a CPC, which is a certified medical coder.

Location: Right in the middle of New Jersey.

Job: Given the CPC credentials, you probably won’t be that shocked to find out that I am a… medical coder. I’m the billing manager at a dermatology practice.

These are a few of your favorite things: my top four things are cats, coffee, books, and music. ❤

Is there a story behind your blog’s name? My story is actually the same as Cassandra’s story, which is pretty fitting since she is also The Bibliophagist. 🙂 Way back in 2013, I was trying to think of a fitting name for a book blog and googled words for book lovers. “Bibliophagist” came up and I thought… one who devours books, that’s me. I don’t know if I necessarily love the name of my blog anymore, but I am not nearly creative enough to come up with a new one.

What are you looking forward to right now? My trip to Tennessee next weekend, which I honestly can’t believe is actually happening. 😭😭

Favorite ice cream: There are really very few ice cream flavors that I don’t like… I love coffee ice cream. I also love cheesecake ice cream. I also love chocolate chip cookie dough, cookies and cream, and mint chocolate chip ice cream. I love most Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and every flavor of Talenti that I’ve ever had. I also like just plain vanilla. I just really love ice cream.

Coffee or tea? And how do you take it? Coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon. I just put half and half in my coffee and I don’t put anything in my tea. I usually drink either ginger tea or minty tea, but really, anything that isn’t straight black tea is fine with me.

Favorite thing to do on a rainy day: Honestly… I usually just read on rainy days. I guess if you want to know some things that I might do aside from reading… I like to sew. I also might get caught up on tv shows, although I don’t watch that much tv. Sometimes I also have dance parties all by myself. 🙂

Favorite movies: I don’t watch a ton of movies these days, but one of my all-time favorites is Across the Universe! I also watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail with my best friend approximately twelve million times when we were in high school, so that’ll always be one of my favorites too.

Favorite books: I think that my favorite book is The Hating Game. But I have a whole favorites page if you’re interested!

One item on your bucket list: I really want to take a trip all by myself!

Scariest thing you’ve ever done: Probably moving halfway across the country when I was 22 years old. I’m not really sure if it was a good decision or not, but I would absolutely not be the person I am today if I hadn’t done it.

Fun fact: Between Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin, I have been to more Andrew McMahon concerts in my life than probably all other concerts put together. One time I 🎵 waited for him in the rain, in the parking lot 🎵 and it was horrible but it also kind of made my life because I was living out the lyrics to one of his songs. You get a million bonus points and you’re my new best friend if you know what song I’m referencing.

I hope you enjoyed learning a little more about me! What’s a fun fact about you? What’s your favorite ice cream and how do you take your coffee? Let’s talk in the comments!

Have no idea who Andrew Mcmahon is. Not a clue. I listen to something very different. Also, the last concert I went to was in 1999, I was three months pregnant with my oldest, and Mushroomhead was headlining. Since then I have been out of the game.

Congrats on 1000 followers that’s awesome! I went to my first Andrew McMahon concert last year and it was amazing!! I love him so much. So is the song… by Jacks Mannequin- You can Breath? It’s the second part of MFEO. There’s also Rainy Girl by him, but I don’t remember there being anything about waiting in the rain.

This was a fun post! I love getting to know you better 🙂

I am so happy you did this! Thank you for tagging me as well, I really appreciate it! Yes, we do have the same name haha, the more book lovers the better…right?!
I have actually made The Bibliophagist into my personal business now and I am so excited. I proofread and edit for authors. I also beta read and review for free.
I really love the community here and hope to one day be as successful as you are with your blog.
And Monty Python…yes!! I am still always quoting it. Thank you for letting us get to know you better! It is wonderful seeing the similarities everyone shares.

You’re welcome! Thanks for inspiring me to do it! 🙂

And yes, definitely, the more book lovers the better. It’s so cool that you’ve made a personal business! Being an editor for a publisher is actually my dream job. 🙂 I’ve done a little bit of beta reading, but it’s not something I do all the time.

Also yes to how positive the book blogging community is and to Monty Python! Thanks so much for your nice comments ❤

I’ve just started following your blog so it’s great that this post came out around the same time so I can get to know you a bit better!
I might have a go at doing a post like this soon if that’s alright. 🙂
Congrats on your 1000 followers too. That’s awesome!

I’m so glad you did this post, I love knowing more about everyone 🙂 (hopefully that didn’t sound too creepy) I’m pretty classic when it comes to ice cream, I think my all-around favourite would be French Vanilla. But pretty much anything that is not chocolate-based…which is a pretty unpopular opinion, I’ve been shockingly told!

Mochas are tricky for me because I don’t really like sweet coffee and a lot of the time, they just taste like hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. And I love chocolate chip ice cream too! It’s been a while since I’ve had a choco taco but I’m not going to turn down any ice cream. 🙂
