So I think September is going on record as my worst reading month of 2018. I actually, overall, liked the books a lot more than I did in August, but I also had an entire week where all I did was try (and fail) to read The Last Time I Lied. Luckily, a lot of what I read was very good, and October is a new month. 🙂

September was a good month! I did not read as much as I’d hoped, but I did read wonderful novels. Thus, for me, it was quality over quantity, in September. October would probably be the same… classes will start again in a week and I don’t think I will be able to read and review as many books as I read and reviewed in the past months. Maybe shorter books…lol
I am reading The Shadow of the Wind and I just finished the Silence of the Girls…both books of more than 350 pages….. HAPPY READING!

aw thank you! Cannot wait to read your review of the Silence of the Girls. I had so much to say about the novel but I kept it short. Let me know what do you think about the quote at the very beginning of the book. It triggered me. It is from The Human Stain by Philip Roth. I don’t agree with it! 😉

I try to read longer books because they have better stories. Shorter books are usually rushed. That’s been my experience.

I think it can go both ways. Short books can be rushed, long books can be really drawn out… I usually like books that fall somewhere in the middle. 😊

Ah! I looooove Name of the Wind! So glad to find another fan!!!! Did you see that there is a movie and TV adaption in the works? I think Lin Manuel Miranda is involved with one of the adaptions!!!

Oh boy. Name of The Wind is another book I really need to get to asap! September has really been good book month for most of us. Can’t wait to see what October has in store for us! 😀

I was so surprised by how much I liked The Name of the Wind! Although I shouldn’t have been, because I feel like everybody’s been yelling at me to read it for years. It was really so good though. I hope you like it whenever you get a chance to read it. 🙂
