Top Ten Tuesday: Longest books I’ve ever read

Happy Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s theme is longest books I’ve ever read. Given the choice, I generally prefer shorter books to longer ones. It’s not that I have any problem reading long books, but I worry that I won’t like them and then I’ll be stuck with a thousand more pages of something that’s boring me. That said, here are ten books that I’ve read that are pretty darn long!

Later this month, I’m planning to read The Wise Man’s Fear, which clocks in at 994 pages and will definitely top this list.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling | 870 pages
Winter by Marissa Meyer | 827 pages
The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray | 819 pages

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling | 759 pages
Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer | 756 pages
The Temporal Void by Peter F. Hamilton | 736 pages
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling | 734 pages

The Evolutionary Void by Peter F. Hamilton | 672 pages
Some Kind of Perfect by Krista & Becca Ritchie | 664 pages
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss | 662 pages

I’ve read most of these, Harry Potter is my absolute favorite. I am also planning to read Winter soon. I have high hopes for this series as I only heard good things about it so far. Thanks for the share. 😊

Love the Harry Potter Books! The longest book for me that I can think of was Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, at 771 pages, Mississippi Blood by Greg Iles was also a long one for me at 704. But second of the two was much easier to read. 😊Fun post!

I had no idea The Wise Man’s Fear was so long or I would have used it in my own post!! There was one bit in it that I wasn’t a huge fan of but I loved the rest of it so much it flew by – if only the wait for the third book would pass just as quickly 😭
