A couple weeks ago, Raya tagged me to do this book blogger confessions tag. It took me a little while, but I’m finally doing it! Thanks for the tag! ❤
Rules:
- Answer these questions truthfully.
- Once you’re done, tag 5 other book bloggers to answer these questions next.
Which book, most recently, did you not finish?
I think my last DNF was The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager. I’m a little sad about it since I was really excited about that book.
Which book is your guilty pleasure?
I don’t really believe in guilty pleasures! If a book makes me happy or I enjoy it, then I’m good. No guilt over it required.
Which book do you love to hate?
Troll, definitely. I hate read this one and I still love to talk about how bad it was.
Which book would you throw into the sea?
I have to go with Raya’s answer here — I could never. Which book would I figuratively throw into the sea? Again, probably Troll.
Which book have you read the most?
Probably Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. I’ve read this book countless times since childhood.
Which book would you hate to receive as a present?
I guess anything by an author I don’t like? I don’t know, I’ve gotten all sorts of books as presents. I just like getting books.
Which book could you not live without?
I don’t know that there’s any single book that I would literally die without… but I’m happy that I live in a world where The Hating Game exists.
Which book made you the angriest?
Probably All the Bright Places. I have a very long review if you want to know all the reasons why.
Which book made you cry the most?
Me Before You. I was a mess when I finished that book.
Which book cover do you hate the most?
I hate most of the covers for Krista & Becca Ritchie’s books. And most of their books are so good! I never would have picked them up if not for the glowing reviews I’d seen.
I’m going to be a rebel and not tag anyone in particular, but if you feel like answering these questions, please do! And please link back to me so that I can see your post! ❤
Great tag!

Oh my gosh. I bawled at the end of Me Before You and throughout the whole thing. And then immediately after I finished it I went to the movie theatre and bawled some more. That book is a journey.
I also read God/Margaret over and over again! It was one of my favourite books as a kid.

Oh my goodness, I haven’t watched the movie yet since I know I’ll be a mess. Someday I’ll watch it.
And it’s such a great book! I loved it as a preteen and I still love it now. ❤

I love your response on the guilty pleasure question! Just read your review of All The Bright Places and I can understand your problems with it. Funnily enough, I read Me Before You right after The Fault In Our Stars and I could’t help but compare the two, for some reason. And MBY actually made me me find TFOS a very overrated book.

Thank you! And I can see that. I was a sobbing mess when I finished MBY and although I did really like TFiOS, it definitely didn’t affect me in the same way that MBY did, and I’m not sure that I’d enjoy it now.

I just got sad picturing a book floating in the sea. I’m going to check out your review of All the Bright Places now, because I need to understand what this book did exactly.

It’s such a sad thought! And I hope that my problems with the book came through clearly despite the rant.

They did! I certainly won’t be reading the book now, and frankly, I wish it wasn’t being made into a movie.

Me Before You had me in tears and I read it at work which was slightly embarrassing.

Oh my goodness! I don’t think I would have been able to hold my tears in either.

SAME about All the Bright places, it was so. bad.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt that way! It was just such a harmful book. I can’t believe books with messages like that can get published.

I saw Jenny Nicholson (I think) talking about Troll over on Youtube. The book sounds awful but the video was fun 🙂
I was spoiled for Me Before You and still cried. Cry every time I watch the movie to!

It’s so, so bad, but so fun to talk about. As I was reading, I just couldn’t believe how bad it was!
And I haven’t been brave enough to watch the movie yet since I know I’ll be a mess! Someday.

What is The Troll… does it involve a woman having it off with a hot troll?

Troll is a disaster of a book about a woman who is, quite literally, stalked and assaulted by a man she meets on a dating site. Somehow it’s marketed as romance and not horror. It’s probably the worst thing I’ve ever read, but I sure had fun writing my review.

Sounds more thriller than romance… anyway, now I know 😉
