Somehow February is already done. I don’t even really know how it happened since I swear it just started, but here I am again with another reading challenge update.
Monthly Motif is a reading challenge hosted by girlxoxo.
February’s theme was cover love and I read two books for this prompt:
- Neurocomic by Hana Ros
- Cast No Shadow by Nick Tapalansky
March’s theme is royalty, kingdom, empires, governments and please feel free to recommend something for me! I’m sure I have plenty of books on my TBR that fit this theme, but I’m drawing a blank right now.
I read a total of 22 books in February, which is a lot better than I did in January. I’m currently 16 books ahead in my goal of reading 100 books this year.
Popsugar hosts a reading challenge every year. You can find out more information on their website.
Eleven of the books I read in February counted toward the Popsugar Reading Challenge. The prompts I checked off in February include:
- a book that makes you nostalgic
- a book that’s published in 2019
- a book featuring an extinct or imaginary creature
- a book featuring an amateur detective
- a book published posthumously
- a book with a question in the title
- a book told from multiple character POVs
- your favorite prompt from a past POPSUGAR reading challenge
- a book about a hobby
- a ghost story
- a book you think should be turned into a movie
I ended up checking off a lot more of the Popsugar prompts in February than I thought I would!
Romanceopoly is a reading challenge hosted by Under the Covers and Peace Love Books.
I’ll be honest — I’m not doing too well at the Romanceopoly reading challenge. I checked off two prompts in February. I’m going to have to plan this one out better in the coming months, or there’s no way I’ll ever finish!
The prompts I checked off were:
Modern Mrs. Darcy hosts a reading challenge every year. You can find more information on the website.
I might not have done so great with Romanceopoly in February, but Modern Mrs. Darcy is almost done! I checked off seven prompts and only have four left.
The prompts I completed include:
- a book in the backlist of a favorite author
- three books by the same author (1)
- three books by the same author (2)
- three books by the same author (3)
- a book you chose for the cover
- a book outside your (genre) comfort zone
- a book you’ve been meaning to read
Once again, I waited until the very last second to finish three books that I’ve owned for more than three months, but I did finally succeed. The books I read in February were:
- Attraction by Penny Reid
- Sex Symbol by Laurelin Paige
- The Room Mate by Kendall Ryan
How are you doing on your reading challenges? Do you have any recommendations for me? Let’s talk in the comments!
You’re killing your reading challenge! I put my reading challenge to 100 books, and I’ve read 24 so far.

I recently read Nichole Chase’s suddenly royal. I think it will check off the royalty, kingdom, politics theme plus maybe hit something on your Romanceology (was that what it was called? Lol) challenge as well. It is a cute, sweet romance and easy to read!

Thank you for the suggestion! I’m always really excited when I find a book that checks off a box on more than one reading challenge. 🙂

16 books ahead on your 100 for the year? Wow. That’s terrific. I don’t know how you keep all these challenges straight. It’s a lot.
