Top Ten Tuesday: Books on my spring TBR

Happy Top Ten Tuesday! Today we’re talking about books on my spring TBR, so I thought I’d revisit my ultimate 2019 TBR post and see how I’m doing and what I want to prioritize this spring.

Back in January, I shared a list of 100 books that I hope to read this year. Granted, not all of these books are out yet, but I’ve read a whopping total of seven of them (with one additional book checked out from the library right now). I don’t know what I’m doing with my life, but I better get on this TBR list ASAP!

Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman

At least once a month (maybe more like every other week), my work bestie asks me if I’ve read Practical Magic yet. Every time, I kind of hang my head in shame and admit that I haven’t.

The Book of Essie by Meghan MacLean Weir

Honestly, this book has been at the top of my list since it came out last June. It sounds so interesting and I think everyone that I follow has loved it.

In the Woods by Tana French

I mentioned in last week’s TTT that I really want to finish French’s Dublin Murder Squad series. I don’t want to read them all in a row or anything, so I think I’ll start with In the Woods since it’s the one I owned the longest.

Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu

As I sit here, Moxie is staring me in the face and asking me from across the room why I haven’t read it yet. I loved the last book I read by this author (way back in 2014!!) and I don’t even have a good reason for not reading this one yet.

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

Okay, so this one wasn’t on my ultimate 2019 TBR, but it is a recentish Netgalley approval that I need to read soon! I love Christina Lauren’s books, so I’m sure this one will be a quick and easy read.

Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

This is another one that wasn’t on my ultimate TBR that is also a recentish Netgalley approval. It comes out in May, so I’m hoping to read it in the next couple weeks.

Allegedly by Tiffany D. Jackson

Since I wrote my ultimate TBR post, I actually went and purchased this book for myself. Of course, that doesn’t mean I’ve actually read it. (What’s wrong with me.)

Miss Mayhem by Rachel Hawkins

Okay, so I adored Rebel Belle when I read it way back when. I bought myself Miss Mayhem months ago(!!!!!) and I still haven’t read it. I’m pretty sure I’m going to love it. Maybe I should just start reading it tonight.

Dearest Clementine by Lex Martin

This book was recommended by Krista & Becca Ritchie months (or maybe even years?) ago. I’m actually hoping to read it by the end of the month, though I’m not entirely sure that’ll actually happen.

Vengeful by V.E. Schwab

Honestly, what is the matter with me. I preordered this book. I was so excited when it finally arrived. Now it’s just been sitting on my shelf for months. I need to pull it together and finally read this!

Did you do your own Top Ten Tuesday post today? Feel free to leave your link in the comments and I’ll check it out! Have you read any of these books? What are you hoping to read this spring? Let’s talk in the comments!

*screams uncontrollably* HOW DID I NOT KNOW THAT THIS BOOK EXISTS???? Practical Magic is one of my most favorite books in the entire world and now she’s written another book about the Owens family? I might die unless I get this book soon OMG THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sara, the book Practical Magic is different from the movie Practical Magic, but they’re both fantastic in their own ways (and once you read the book Practical Magic, read Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen, because it’s along the same vein and is lovely and gorgeous and fabulous in its own right).

I know the feeling of getting super excited about a book months in advance then just not finding the time to read it, I think it happens to all of us 😉 I’m waiting for my first pre-order ever and will try to get to it as soon as I get it in the mail
Hope you enjoy all the books on your list!

I’m so so so excited for Red, White, and Royal Blue. I can’t wait to see your review for it. Although it might bring my hype to new levels. And I’m also intrigued to see what you think of Vengeful. I see so much hype for it. Wonderful post, and hope you enjoy them all! 🙂

I’ve been so excited about The Unhoneymooners since I read its blurb. But I missed the window of requesting for its ARC. It looks like Me and Christina Lauren ARCs are just not meant to be. Sigh.

Anyways, hope you enjoy all the books in this list! 😀

I totally relate to how you’re putting off reading Vengeful. I still haven’t even bought it even though I adored Vicious with all my heart and soul. I really need to stop not picking up sequels. Lol.
