Tag: The Friendship Profile Challenge

I was so excited to see that I’d been tagged by Rebecca to do the Friendship Profile Challenge! I love tags like this and I’m always up for making more blogging friends! ❤

RULES

  • Tag the creators @bookprincessreviews
  • Make the pledge that ✋ you are interested in making new blogger friends
  • Answer each question as fully as you want
  • Tag at least two other bloggers you want to get to know better

Name: Sara
Location: New Jersey, USA

✋ My name is Sara, and I’m interested in making new blogger friends.

I enjoy: (check all that apply)
☐ Twitter chats
☐ Insta chats
❎ WordPress comment threads
☐ Other:

Expand on that! (optional):
Twitter stresses me out so much that I rarely ever use it except to retweet other people or automatically share my blog posts. I only have a personal Instagram, which is probably pretty uninteresting if you don’t know me in real life. So WordPress it is! I’m always ready for a good conversation in the comments. 🙂

I like to talk about: Books (of course), my cat, any cats, music and concerts, baking, dermatology, basically any kind of pop culture from the 90s, coffee shops and bookstores I should visit in the NY/NJ area, really anything that you’re passionate about

Conversation Starters: “Want to see a cute picture of my cat?” & “Have you heard this song??”

Find me on Twitter & Goodreads.

I’m tagging…

Cait ✳️ Jamsu ✳️ Lori ✳️ Megs ✳️ Hannah ✳️ anyone who’s looking to make friends!

Please feel free to do this challenge even if I didn’t specifically tag you! Do you like talking about any of these things? Let’s talk in the comments!

Top Ten Tuesday: Thought-provoking book quotes

Happy Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s theme is inspirational/thought-provoking book quotes and I am going to try not to repeat any quotes that I’ve previously shared in tags or other TTT posts, but let’s be honest, I’m probably going to fail.

“You can be with the same person for a long time and have it be fine and meet someone else who instantly makes you see that it’s broken,” she said.

Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi

When someone you love needs you to, you can get a hold of your five-alarm temper, get a hold of the shapeless things that scare you senseless, act like an adult instead of the Cro-Magnon teenager you are, you can do a million things you never saw coming.

Faithful Place by Tana French

“Learn from your past and be better because of your past,” she would say, “but don’t cry about your past. Life is full of pain. Let the pain sharpen you, but don’t hold on to it. Don’t be bitter.”

Born a Crime by Trevor Noah

If we do something over and over, it becomes normal. If we see the same thing over and over, it becomes normal.

We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

IF YOU ARE NEUTRAL IN SITUATIONS OF INJUSTICE, YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE SIDE OF THE OPPRESSOR.

All American Boys by Jason Reynolds & Brendan Kiely

Change happens through understanding, and one of my biggest hopes is that our next generation of kids will grow up in a world with more compassion.

Being Jazz by Jazz Jennings

You don’t need to fit yourself into what society tells us a girl should be. Girls can be whoever they want. Whether that’s an ass-kicking, sarcastic, crime-solving FBI agent or a funny, gorgeous, witty beauty queen—or both at the same time.

Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde

I get angry when women disavow feminism and shun the feminist label but say they support all the advances born of feminism because I see a disconnect that does not need to be there. I get angry but I understand and hope someday we will live in a culture where we don’t need to distance ourselves from the feminist label, where the label doesn’t make us afraid of being alone, of being too different, of wanting too much.

Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay

corrode, v. I spent all this time building a relationship. Then one night I left the window open, and it started to rust.

The Lover’s Dictionary by David Levithan

Your worth isn’t dictated by the number of friends you have. You can have zero friends and still be the most amazing, spectacular person in the whole galaxy.

Some Kind of Perfect by Krista & Becca Ritchie
