I don’t want to be too presumptuous, but it looks like I might finally be out of my reading slump. For the first time in at least two months, I’m actually excited about picking up a book again. Just yesterday, I found myself sitting at my desk at work wishing I was reading a book instead. It’s been so long since I had that feeling and it made me so happy.
Anyway, here’s what I ended up reading in April.

Yay! That’s brilliant news. I always hate a reading slump. It makes me very on edge and moody.

Me too! I don’t even know what to do with myself if I’m not reading.

I’m glad I’m not the only one.

I read Blackbird too this month 😀 quite the fast read, though I enjoyed the art way more than the story itself

I totally agree! The art was so great but the story didn’t really do it for me.

Happy you seem to be out of the slump! I’m in one right now and haven’t read much in April… can’t seem to concentrate on my current audiobook either! But soon my husband will be travelling for 3 months, which is bad because meh, life is more fun with him, but good because time for books! 😉
Which Christina Lauren do you recommend to start with?
I read the Kiss Quotient!!! Thanks for recommending it. Had never read romance before, it was fun 🙂 I think it’s not my genre, I prefer books that have romance but where it’s not central (is that simply contemporary?) but a really good one in its genre and I really want to pick up The Bride Test, loved all the side characters
Happy May reading!

Oh no! I hope you get over your slump soon! But yes, your husband being away definitely gives you a lot more time for reading. (Hopefully those three months that he’s gone will go fast, though.)
For Christina Lauren, I think my favorite that I’ve read so far is Love and Other Words. All of their books are pretty heavy on the romance, though. And even if you don’t necessarily love romance, I’m glad you liked The Kiss Quotient! I’m really excited for The Bride Test too. 🙂

Thanks for the recommendation, I will add Love and Other Words to my TBR, I think I’ve seen it on many end-of-year lists too
I am now in a blogging slump lol, first time ever! I just don’t know what to post today, I’m generally in a bad mood just before my husband leaves, oops 😉 I think it calls for a tag!

A tag is a great idea. 🙂
