- Thanks to my boyfriend, I’ve been on more rollercoasters in the last six months than I’d been on in the last probably fifteen years.
Questions from Shyla
What is in your reader wheelhouse? You see it on a shelf, you can’t resist.
I’d have to say any kind of friends-to-lovers romance. I’m a little pickier about my enemies-to-lovers books, but friends-to-lovers is almost sure to please me.
What is the last book you read?
Right now, I’m about halfway done with We Are Lost and Found by Helene Dunbar. The last book I finished was The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness.
If you could have one superpower, would would it be?
I have a standing answer for this question — teleportation. I’m in a long-distance relationship and both my mom and my best friend live in a different state than me. I’d be teleporting constantly if I could.
What horror/dystopia book or movie would you be most likely to survive through and why?
Well, I just watched The Conjuring with my boyfriend not too long ago, and I think I can pretty safely say that I’d survive that movie. Why? Because the second that dog refused to walk through the door of the new house, I would’ve been like… nope. Something’s wrong here. We’re leaving.
If you could invent one thing, anything at all, what would it be?
Ooh, good question. Going along with my superpower answer, I’d love to invent a way to teleport. Not only would I be able to easily visit anybody at any time, but I would also definitely be rich enough to retire and spend the rest of my life focusing on books and doing good in the world.

Teleportation!! Long-distance relationships are tough… Hope it’s not too hard on you! I would choose the same 🙂

It would be a very convenient superpower, that’s for sure… And it’s definitely not the easiest thing, but we make it work! ❤

My husband always tells me not everybody could make it work, so sometimes it makes me proud to be in a long-distance relationship haha. Happy for you that your relationship is strong enough 🙂

Honestly I would just want to fly or teleport! Also wow, getting rid of over 100 books. That, my friend, is commitment. Great post!

Thank you! Once I got started, I just kept finding more books that I want to get rid of!
And flying would be great too! Now I’m thinking about all the traffic jams I could avoid… 🙂

Traffic jams are honestly terrible. I feel like they’re so bad in Kansas and if I went to somewhere like LA, I’d probably never want to drive again 😂
And I get what you’re saying. I usually try to clear out my bookshelves once a year-

They’re so bad! I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin where there’s hardly any traffic, so I was shocked when I moved to New Jersey and I could end up sitting in traffic for 45 minutes just trying to go four miles. I thought that was really awful until one day I tried to get through NYC by taxi at 8am on a weekday. NEVER AGAIN. 😅

I’m sorry that happened to you 😓 but it happens 🤷♀️ I didn’t grow up in a small town but I wouldn’t say its a big city. Granted I plan on moving after law school so now I know what I’m in for.

It definitely happens, but I’m much more used to it now!

Horror movies to survive? None. I would be the first to die, I think. Super power? The ability to be invisible because there are times I want to escape instantly, lol.

Invisibility is a great one! I would not mind disappearing sometimes too!
