You may recall me posting (not very long ago) about how I got rid of 102 books. I was pretty proud of myself for clearing out so much space… and then I went to my library’s annual book sale and kind of had zero self-control. I thought I was being kind of excessive when I took two tote bags with me, but I filled them. I ended up getting books from a bunch of different genres. Sadly, their YA selection was kind of lacking. But anyway, I ended up getting all of these books for $32.
- There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins
- Dreamland by Sarah Dessen
- Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen
- Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs
- Foxheart by Claire Legrand
- Hero by Perry Moore
- The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider
- The River King by Alice Hoffman
- Fun Home by Alison Bechdel
- Killing and Dying by Adrian Tomine
- Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver (for a gift)
Cookbooks
- Downtime: Deliciousness at Home by Nadine Levy Redzepi
- The Glorious Pasta of Italy by Domenica Marchetti
- Lindt: Chocolate Passion
- Gatsby Cocktails: Classic Cocktails from the Jazz Age
Does your library do an annual book sale? Have you read any of these books? Are any on your TBR? Let’s talk in the comments!

There are no annual sale held here, or not the ones that I am aware of. The ones you got are wonderful! 😍

I love library sales! I don’t have like a special annual one, but my library keeps a cart of books for sale near the door so I see it when I walk in 🙂

That’s great! My library has a little used book store inside, but they go all out and fill their whole community room for one weekend every year. 🙂

What a great haul! My library has book sales all the time, but they rarely have anything good. 😕

That’s too bad! 😦 Mine is hit or miss a lot of the time, but I love looking.

Wow! You got a lot of really great books! And only for $32??? Crazy! I’ve never seen my library do this but now I kind of want to pay attention to their event list more to see if they do.

That’s a great buy. No reason to clear out and make room if you can’t buy more books.

Ooh, I have no self-control around a used book sale either. I came home with a bag a few weeks ago. 🙂 My library has a shelf of books for sale and they add stuff all the time. I bought two music books there last week for a few bucks. Now to find time to play the piano when my daughter isn’t interrupting me every three seconds…
I’ve read the Sarah Dessen, but not the Stephanie Perkins and now I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed to!!!!

That’s so great! I love the variety of stuff they have for sale. I hope you get a chance to read the Stephanie Perkins soon. 🙂

I was so excited when There Is Someone Inside Your House came out, it was like all of my Scream-inspired slasher movie dreams came true. It killed me when I actually ended up not enjoying it very much at all!

I’ve heard such mixed things about it! Mostly I want to see how an author that wrote books as cute and fluffy as Anna and the French Kiss will handle a thriller.

She definitely deserves props for branching out, genre-wise. I’d love to hear what you think after you’ve read it.

Oh…I have no willpower. I admire your ability to clear books out…once they are mine, I can’t let them go (unless I didn’t like the book, haha). I love library book sales! Looks like you got some good ones!

Thank you! It was hard, but I’m glad I did it! And the library book sale was the best. I can’t wait for the next one!

Hey, I wouldn’t have much self control either. Definitely read Miss Peregrin’s home for peculiar children! One of my favorite series of all time!
