Theme Thursday: Werewolves

It’s time for another Theme Thursday! This month’s theme is werewolves. I haven’t read a ton of werewolf books and I don’t have a ton on my TBR, but please feel free to recommend some to me!

Theme Thursday is a new monthly feature created by Sophie @ Blame Chocolate where bloggers can share recs and newly found books featuring that month’s theme.

  • There will be a different theme (genre, trope, etc) every month. You can check the theme calendar here.
  • Those participating have to list titles that feature that theme in some way (doesn’t have to be the main theme of the book).
  • You can choose one of the four (or five) Thursdays of every month to post.
  • You can use the three main categories: Books I’ve Read/I’m Reading, Books I Want to Read, and Other Books That Fit The Theme but this isn’t mandatory.
  • You can repeat books in different themes, if they apply, and choose as many as you want.
  • You don’t have to take part every month! Just when you feel like it.
  • You can use #BlameThemeThursday on Twitter and other social media to make TT posts easier to find.
  • Finally, use this boxed text (or similar) in your post, as it doubles as a pingback.

If you have any theme suggestions, please leave them in the comments or email them to me!

I just love werewolf/shifter books! And now I have some new ones to add to my TBR!

My favorite werewolf series would have to be The Grey Wolves by Quinn Loftis though! The first book is a little rough in some spots, but after that, the series just gets better and better!! I binge read all ten books (that were out at the time) in like six days because I couldn’t put them down!

Shiver was okay. It was pretty interesting as far as werewolves go. There’s basically a time limit on how long they can switch between being a human and being a wolf. I hope you like it! I didn’t realize that Hex Hall had werewolves in it though! That makes me want to read it even more.

Shiver is very entertaining as long as you go into it expecting it to read like an old YA novel. Like the same kind of level as Shatter Me if you get what I’m saying lol. But it’s a really fast paced series and it is fun!
For another rec, the Kate Daniels series has some great werewolves and is filled with tons of other shapeshifters like bears and lions!
I remember back when I was younger I really enjoyed the Nightshade books by Andrea Creamer but idk if I’d enjoy them if I read them now lol.

I feel like I’ve read a ton of shifter books but not a lot on werewolves, specifically… I’ll definitely take a look at some of the ones on your list! Wolves of Mercy Falls has been on my TBR for so long and I adore Stiefvater’s writing so I’m super looking forward to that 🙂
Awesome post, Sara! Glad to see you’re enjoying the feature ❤
