I was tagged by Raya to do the 20 Questions Book Tag! It’s been forever and a day since I was tagged, but here are my answers! ❤
1. How many books are too many in a series?
I don’t think there’s really a set number of books that’s too many. That said, when it feels like an author is dragging things out to make money, I’m done. That’s happened recently with a series that shall not be named — two authors I really love just keep cranking out one book after another and they’ve started recycling plot lines and the writing quality has gone way downhill. It’s sad, but I just can’t bring myself to read that series anymore.
2. How do you feel about cliffhanger endings?
They’re not my favorite thing, but if they’re done right, I don’t mind them. That cliffhanger at the end of Godsgrave has had me thinking about what comes next for an entire year now.
3. Hardback or paperback?
For practicality, paperback. But hardcover looks really nice on a shelf.
4. Favorite book?
5. Least Favorite book?
6. Love triangles: yes or no?
With rare exceptions for very well-written books, absolutely not.
7. The most recent book you couldn’t finish?
I believe that the most recent book was We’ll Fly Away, but not because it was bad or anything. I just wasn’t in the mood for such a heavy book when I initially checked it out from the library.
8. A book you’re currently reading?
This is going to be really shocking, so make sure you’re sitting down. I’m actually so wrapped up in moving right now that I haven’t picked up a book in several days.
9. Last book you recommended?
I think it was The Couple Next Door, which I haven’t even read yet, but it sounded like something my friend would like and I lent her my copy. (She loved it.)
10. Oldest book you’ve read?
Raya said the Quran, I’ll go along with that and say the Bible. I went to many, many years of Catholic school and I believe we read the entire thing over the course of high school.
11. Newest book you’ve read?
12. Favorite author?
Probably Jenn Bennett!
13. Buying books or borrowing?
Both, although I usually buy used these days.
14. A book that you disliked that everyone seems to love?
15. Bookmarks or dog ears?
Bookmarks! I own so many bookmarks.
16. A book that you always reread?
None! I don’t love rereading.
17. Can you read while listening to music?
I don’t mind listening to instrumental music or music in a language I don’t understand while I’m reading. I can’t really listen to music that I love unless I’m in a loud public place.
18. One POV or multiple POVs?
It really depends on the book. I think that some books really benefit from multiple POVs, especially romances, so that you can really get the full picture of what’s happening. Sometimes multiple POVs add nothing to the story, though.
19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
I prefer to finish a book in one sitting, although that doesn’t always happen these days!
20. Who do you tag?
I’ve seen this one floating around a lot, so I’m tagging anybody who hasn’t already done it! ❤
What are the oldest and newest books that you’ve read? Can you read while listening to music? Let’s talk in the comments!

This is such a fun tag! I’m also a teensy bit obsessed with bookmarks 😛 How did you find The Babysitter Coven?

I thought The Babysitters Coven was really fun! It reminded me a lot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, just with Sitters instead of Slayers. 🙂 My review is going up pretty soon!

Oldest books I have read is probably The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien. I can’t listen to music while I am reading as when I do, I read several pages and realise I haven’t taken in a single word!

Where do you buy used? Can I ask?

My old library had a used bookstore with most books only being a dollar or two. Now that I’ve moved, there’s a really great used bookstore not too far away. 🙂

I just got an ARC for The Babysitters Coven! Im very excited to read it!
Why don’t you like to reread books? (Curious)

I hope you love it! And there are two main reasons that I don’t like to reread, first being that I already know how it ends and second being that there are soooo many books I want to read that I’d rather pick up something new!

That is understandable.
And I’m so excited to read it! I’m almost done with the Bridge Kingdom and this one is being skipped to the top of the tbr pile! lol
