A book that a certain friend always tells you to read
Haha, I didn’t even have to think about this one. My boyfriend is always telling me to read The Wise Man’s Fear. I bought it maybe a year or so ago at his suggestion, but I still haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. One of these days I will!
A book that has been on your TBR forever, and yet you still haven’t picked it up
Shiver is one of the first books I ever added to my TBR on Goodreads, and I still haven’t read it! I finally bought this book a couple months ago, so fingers crossed that I’ll be getting around to it soon!
A book in a series you have started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing
I read a bunch of the Throne of Glass books and then just… stopped. I don’t even know why. Next up in that series is Empire of Storms.
A classic you have always liked the sound of, but never actually read
Emma is one of the few classics that I own and one of the many books I haven’t read. I bought this book for two reasons when I was in high school: first, I enjoyed Pride and Prejudice, and second, Clueless is a great movie.
A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet
I read a lot more than I watch things, so it took me a long time to find anything that fit this prompt! I’ll go with The Princess Bride.
A book you see all over Instagram, but haven’t picked up yet
Not so much recently, but I used to see The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo EVERYWHERE. Like, I could not log in to WordPress, open up Instagram, or go on Twitter without seeing someone talking about this book. I even bought it! But I still haven’t read it.
Considering I was tagged in this about five months ago, I’m pretty sure most people that want to do it have done it by now. But if not, please feel free to do it and link back to this post so that I can see your answers! What books are your friends always telling you to read? Which classics are on your TBR? Let’s talk in the comments!

I’ve been meaning to read Shiver for years as well. Hope you get to it soon!

The Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies of all time! I watched the movie before I read the book. However, I will say that I like the movie way more than I like the book. It’s just such an amazing adaptation.

Clueless is a great movie, lol 🙂 And The Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies of all time, I read the book in high school after I saw the movie on a whim and became OBSESSED haha! Evelyn Hugo is also something I need to read, right next to the whole Throne of Glass series so I feel ya ❤

Shiver has always been one of my favourite series – it’s written really beautifully, and that’s one of the main reasons I love it! I hope you enjoy it if you get to it 😊

Evelyn Hugo is one of my favorite reads this year and vaulted TJR to the top of my favorite authors! It’s just so heartbreakingly good. I still need to read The Wise Man’s Fear too but who knows when the third book will come out? Lol 😂😭

Oh my goodness, I know! Do I want to read The Wise Man’s Fear now or wait until we at least have a release date for the third book? Such a dilemma…

Oh… you’re right.Maybe I should just read it then before I forget everything that happened in The Name of the Wind!

This looks like fun. Thanks for posting! Also, The Wiseman’s Fear is the sequel to a book called The Name of the Wind. I had a friend who kept encouraging me to read it too and when I finally sat down to read it I really enjoyed it.

Yes, my boyfriend actually successfully convinced me to read The Name of the Wind last year! I absolutely adored it but haven’t gotten around to The Wise Man’s Fear yet. One of these days. 🙂

Haha. Me too. I also haven’t gotten around to The Wise Man’s Fear yet. It’s a commit. It’s even longer than the first book.
