Happy Top Ten Tuesday! This week’s theme is ten signs you’re a book lover, and I think the first thing I want to say about this theme is that there’s no right or wrong way to love books! It doesn’t matter if you have a huge collection of books you’ve bought or if you get everything from the library. It doesn’t matter if you read five or five hundred books each year. If you like books, you’re a book lover.
So since I don’t like this week’s theme, I’m going back into the archives to do a theme that I missed! Without further ado, here are ten books I just had to buy… but are still sitting on my bookshelf, way back from March of 2011.
Vengeful by V.E. Schwab

Heartstopper, Vol. 2 by Alice Oseman

Solitaire by Alice Oseman

Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw

Hot Dog Girl by Jennifer Dugan

The Last Hope by Krista & Becca Ritchie

Educated by Tara Westover

On the Come Up by Angie Thomas

The Year of Shadows by Claire Legrand

Did you do your own Top Ten Tuesday post today? Feel free to leave your link in the comments and I’ll check it out! Have you read any of these books? Which one should I finally tackle first? Let’s talk in the comments!

I read Educated last year, and I loved that book!

That’s so good to hear! Hopefully I can read it soon!

Educated is amazing! I listened to the audiobook but I think the physical copy might be just as powerful! I loved Wayward Son, it was a very quick read and so different from Carry On, I enjoyed it quite a lot

I have the physical copy of Educated, but I might be more likely to listen to the audio. I’ll have to see if it’s available at the library! And that’s great about Wayward Son! I’m reading it now and not sure what I think yet, but my fingers are crossed that I’ll end up loving it as much as Carry On!

I want to read On the Come Up, but I’m not sure how much is actual interest and how much is the hype. (Then again, whichever it was that got me to read THUG was right, since I adored it.) Since the genres are all over the board here, you could pick whichever suits your mood … or just the shortest one and try to knock one off.

I loved The Hate U Give and got On the Come Up as soon as it came out… then was too scared to read it because my expectations were so high.
Today I finally picked up Wayward Son! Only took about six months. 🙂

As long as you pick it up eventually, right? The TBR is still getting tackled 😂

This whole post is just SO me. Why do we insist on buying books [generally that we HAVE to get NOW] only to leave them to gather dust??? Guilty as charged! 😂

At least now that I’m stuck at home, I’ll (probably? hopefully?) read at least some of them!

I have three of mine on my TBR. In my defense I kept lending out Educated before I could read it.

That’s a good reason!

Ooh snap I have an unread copy (although it is an ebook to be fair) of Wicked Deep too.
