Thank you to Rebecca for tagging me to do the Stuck at Home Book Tag! While I’m not quite as stuck at home as I was (Tennessee reopened a while ago), I am definitely leaving the house a lot less than usual. I’m also working from home for at least three more months, but probably more.
So… good timing! Let’s do this!
Rules
- Thank the person who nominated you
- Answer all the questions down below
- Pingback to the creator: Ellyn @ Allonsythornraxx
- Nominate 5+ bloggers you’d like to know more about, to do this tag
1. What are you currently reading?
![]() | ![]() |
I’m working through a physical copy of You Deserve Each Other and listening to When They Call You a Terrorist.
2. What’s your favorite “can’t-leave-the-house” activity?
Probably cross-stitching! I’m about to start Ghus from Saga and I’m so excited.
3. A book you’ve been meaning to read for forever

I have had this book forever and I don’t even know why I haven’t read it yet, other than it’ll probably make me cry.
4. An intimidating book on your TBR

I feel like I’ve said this 600 times, but The Wise Man’s Fear. I know I’ll love it, but it’s SO BIG.
5. Top 3 priority books on your TBR
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
- This is Kind of an Epic Love Story by Kacen Callender: I got this from a Reddit gift exchange and I’m really excited to read it!
- Nice Try, Jane Sinner by Lianne Oelke: I bought this when I was in New York earlier this year with the intention of reading it right away, but then I… didn’t.
- Come Tumbling Down by Seanan McGuire: I marathoned the first four books in this series, and now I just have to wait for my hold on this one to come in. I love this world and can’t wait to learn more about these characters.
6. Recommend a short book
![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
- GRAPHIC NOVEL: Heavy Vinyl, Vol. 1 by Carly Usdin (112 pages)
- NONFICTION: Eloquent Rage by Brittney Cooper (288 pages)
- FICTION: Coraline by Neil Gaiman (162 pages)
7. Recommend a long book

I tend to stay away from long books, but all the books in Peter F. Hamilton’s Void series are at least 600 pages and I really liked all of them.
8. Something you’d love to do while stuck at home
I think at this point, I’ve kind of done everything I wanted to do. One thing I really like (that’s super boring, I know) is that I can do things like put a load of laundry in on my breaks while I’m working, and then it’s one less thing I have to do in my free time.
9. What do you plan on reading next?
Right now it’s all coming down to my library holds! I have a ton of holds pending right now and whatever comes in first is what I’ll read.
I’m not tagging anyone specifically, but if you’re stuck at home and looking for something to do, consider yourself tagged!

Are you stuck at home? How have you been staying busy?
Let’s talk in the comments!

Interesting tag. I think I’ll do my own. Thanks for the (virtual) tag 🙂

I was actually thinking about trying a cross stitch out sometime but keep changing my mind over fears that I won’t be able to do it anymore 🙈 I know I remember the actual Stitch so I think it’s basically starting that worries me 😂 I so want to read the Seaman McGuire books sometime. And Kite Runner is a wonderful book but definitely very emotional.

I hadn’t cross-stitched in about a decade but I picked it right back up! I did start with a kit to ease back into it. 😊 And yes, definitely give Seanan McGuire’s books a try! I need to go back and read her whole backlist now! I keep hearing that about The Kite Runner, so I will have to pick it up one of these days when I’m in the mood for an emotional read.

That’s good to know then 😊 I was thinking of a kit anyway (I love the Wrensdale designs) I’m just not sure if the ones I’m considering are a bit ambitious to start with 😂 I’m sure I’d get the hang of it again though. Aww well I really hope that you get to catch up with her books then ☺️ good idea. I hope you enjoy it.

Great answers! I loved this tag. And I feel you about putting in a load of laundry during breaks! I’ll also try to unload or re-load the dishwasher.

Yes! I am definitely more productive on my home breaks than on my office breaks!
