Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite novellas and short stories

Happy Top Ten Tuesday! Today’s theme is ten favorite novellas and short stories. I don’t read a ton of novellas and short stories, so I had to go a few years back to get a list of ten! All of these books are under 200 pages and I rated all of them at least three stars.

What are the best novellas or short stories that you’ve read?

“What?” I exclaimed, upon finishing Sincerely, Carter. “It’s too soon! That can’t be the end!”

Well, it’s not the end, because Whitney G. was generous enough to give us a FREE extended epilogue. I was not alone in my thoughts that Carter ended far too quickly. Scrolling through the reviews, it seems to be a pretty common feeling. And how could it not be? Just when things get good, the book abruptly ends.

Sincerely, Arizona to the rescue! I still wish I could have lived in Carter’s world for a little longer, but this novella(?) wraps things up pretty nicely. I’d rate it a little lower than the book, but mostly because my expectations were so high and I was just expecting a little more from this.
