It’s time for another Wishlist Wednesday!  These three books have been on my mind a lot lately, so I’m hoping to get them soon!

  • Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children has been in the news a lot lately due to the upcoming film.  It’s been on my TBR for a really long time, so now’s as good a time as any to finally pick it up.
  • My library has been relentlessly pushing Alice in Zombieland.  (I think maybe because I just checked out The Coldest Girl in Coldtown?) Regardless, it’s another one that’s been on my TBR forever, so it’s something I might as well pick up.
  • Every time I go to a bookstore, I see a stunning display for Glass Sword.  It’s about time I finally pick up Red Queen, isn’t it?

What’s on your radar lately?

It’s time for another Wishlist Wednesday already!  These are two books that have really caught my attention lately.

I first noticed The Passion of Dolssa because the girl on the cover looks a lot like Clara from Doctor Who.  BUT then I read what it’s about, and YA historical fiction set in a medieval French convent sounds like my kind of book!

I also noticed The Square Root of Summer because of its beautiful cover!  Then I read the summary, and time travel.  Heartbreak.  Physics?  I’m in.

What are you looking forward to?

Another Wednesday, another wishlist.  These three books have been recently added to my TBR, and I would love someone forever if they got them for me!

– I really enjoyed Shadow & Bone, and ever since, I’ve been looking into more of Leigh Bardugo’s work. I’ve heard my GR friends raving about Six of Crows since it came out, so I figure I should probably give it a try.
– Tamora Pierce, one of my favorite authors forever (well, since middle school) posted a glowing review of Vengeance Road, which has been sort of/kind of on my radar since its release.  I’m convinced.  Give it to me now.
– It was actually jessethereader’s review that convinced me about Salt to the Sea.  That, and the fact that I’m trying to read more historical fiction these days.  (I was inspired by last week’s Top Ten Tuesday.)

Are there any books that you’re dying to get your hands on?

Last week’s Wishlist Wednesday focused on books I’ve been wanting to read for a really long time.  This week’s focuses on more recent additions.

  • I first heard about What We Saw by Aaron Hartzler a couple days ago through jessethereader’s review.  I read a lot of fluff, and sometimes it’s good to go with something important, something uncomfortable, something that pushes your limits as a reader.  I get really outraged at the topic of rape in general, so this is bound to be a book I’ll have really strong opinions about.
  • I have, of course, been hearing about Me Before You by Jojo Moyes for years.  I only recently added it to my TBR after hearing a patient’s wife recommend it incessantly over a several-hour period as her husband underwent surgery.  She was like 90 years old and she said it’s one of the best books she’s ever read.  That has to count for something.
  • A few weeks ago, I was hopping around the book blogs and saw several of them mention Arrows by Melissa Gorzelanczyk.  I was intrigued by the premise at first, and then even more interested when I saw that it takes place in Wisconsin.  There’s a serious shortage of books set in my home state, so that gives me even more reason to read this one.

What books are on your wishlist?

I’ve finally revived Wishlist Wednesday, and what better way than looking at the first books I ever marked as TBR on Goodreads?  I’ve been wanting to read these books for years (some of them I even forgot about, it’s been so long), so it’s about time I get a copy!

What’s been on your list forever?
