In case you missed it, here are this week’s blog posts:
- Review: Miss Mayhem by Rachel Hawkins
- Review: The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness
- Top Ten Tuesday: Characters that remind me of myself
- The Great Book Unhaul of 2019
- Review: Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

Tags this week:
I’ve been reading:
- Wordcrime by John Olsson
- Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
- Dearest Clementine by Lex Martin
- Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
Recently acquired:
- Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen
- I also got lost all self-control at my library’s annual sale! I’m planning on doing a separate post about what I got there.
2 things this week:
- I’ve noticed that WP isn’t sending me notifications for every ping, so if you’ve tagged me in something and I haven’t responded, please let me know!
- I got my BookCon autographing tickets! Of all the authors, I can’t believe I’m going to meet Sarah Dessen. I’ve loved her books since I was in middle school. 😭
Blog hopping:
- Ally wrote about the types of book reviewers. I think I’m “critical and doesn’t care.” What are you?
- Siobhan discussed trigger warnings and whether bloggers have a responsibility to include them in reviews.
Song of the week:
Since I did the Fall Out Boy Book Tag, I might as well share my favorite Fall Out Boy song of all time. I used to BLAST this album in my bedroom when I was a dramatic teenager.

1) Did I already tell you I hate you for getting to go to Book Con? Even though you know I love you?
2) In relation to above…. did I already beg you for the completely unrealistic request of looking out for an additional copy of ninth house, queen of nothing and toll for me? If not, I have a kidney and a still fully functioning uterus 🙂

Haha, I think you might have mentioned it! And I’ll keep an eye out. 🙂

I’d owe you a kidney and being a surrogate but it is a healthy kidney and being a mom isn’t in the playing cards for me so it would be well worth it!

There will definitely be a post! I’m not even sure I’ll be able to speak when I meet her, but I am very excited!

My middle schooler loves Fall Out Boy and Panic At The Disco. I am too old for such music; I still listen to my same music like Janes Addiction, old Alice In Chains, and some old metal. I like the Black Keys now. So that’s new.
I didn’t really like Daisy Jones and the Six as I thought I would, I didn’t like the format.

That’s so funny because Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the Disco were what the indie kids listened to like ten years ago when I was in high school. I think it’s great that they’re making a comeback now and that they’re so popular. 🙂
