It was so hard to pick my top three books from July! I had two five-star and eight four-star books, and if I could’ve separated this into ten different categories, I would have. Instead, I decided to stick with my usual format and just change “Best Nonfiction” to “Best Overall” because, let’s be honest, I didn’t read any particularly amazing nonfiction in July, and I had to get The Catcher in the Rye in here somehow.
If you want to see everything I read in July, check out my Page Count!

I haven’t read any of those, but To Be Honest looks interesting!

I read The Catcher in the Rye in school and I remember loving it! It’s one of those books that stays with you a long time

Yes, I think it will! It might be one of those books that I actually end up re-reading. 🙂

I know The Catcher in the Rye is a book most often read in school, but my teacher rotated his lessons out so my class didn’t get to read The Catcher in the Rye (or To Kill a Mockingbird) which was a major disappointment to me. So I went out and bought my own copies and have read them both so many times they are among the dingiest of my paperbacks. The Catcher in the Rye is my favorite (Classic) to date. 🙂 I have not read To Be Honest or Nevernight, but the latter is on my TBR!

I didn’t read The Catcher in the Rye in school either. I checked it out of the library when I was in high school and didn’t really like it, but I loved it when I re-read it as an adult.
I was so surprised by how much I liked Nevernight. I hope you love that one too! 🙂

I read Catcher in the Rye but I didn’t really like it. 😅 Maybe I should read it again a few years later to see if my view of it changes. 😄

I didn’t like it either the first time I read it! I LOVED it this time around, though. 🙂

My favorite for July was definitely Contagion, but tied in a close second were Mirage and 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle!
